Terms of Service

Acceptance of terms

By using TikiChess you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Your account

• Provide an accurate email address.
• You are responsible for keeping your account and password secure.
• One account per person. Extra accounts used to inflate ratings or bypass limits are not allowed.

Acceptable use

• No cheating, exploiting bugs, or manipulating puzzle results.
• No abusive behaviour toward other users.
• No automated access — bots, scripts, or crawlers — without our written permission.
• No reverse engineering or scraping our data.

Content ownership

• Your collections and avatar remain yours. You grant us a licence to store and display them so the service can work.
• The platform itself — puzzles, code, design, and branding — is our property.

Rating system

• Ratings exist to help you track progress.
• We may reset a rating if we detect cheating, and we may adjust ratings to keep the system fair.

Service availability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may modify or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of TikiChess. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, during the previous 12 months.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will notify registered users. Continuing to use TikiChess after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Termination

• You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are resolved in Swedish courts.
